Refrigerators with pull-out drawers – a new trend?

I don’t know about you, but I really like what seems to be a new trend in refrigeration today – bottom freezer fridges with pull out drawers. Resembling the exterior design of the GE Profile double drawer bottom freezer refrigerator, the new CDA PC85 is yet another American style side-by-side fridge freezer, but with pull-out drawers. With features comparable to the CDA PC65 refrigerator, the PC85 does have quite a few differences – two drawer freezer cabinets, two humidity regulated fruit compartments, special temperature drawer which maintain it between -2°C and 2°C, Super Cooling feature and 2 lidded compartments. It is also larger and a bit quieter with 433 litre fridge and 174 litres freezer capacities, while the noise is limited at 45dBA. The idea of splitting freezer in two was of course loudly stated by Samsung QuatroCooling Convertible refrigerator which offers still pretty unique vertically split freezer. But the horizontal split gives a sleeker look, at least in my opinion. The price is £1,350. CDA.
