The new Sirius range hood – SU48 has heat sensor that activates a retractable filter to automatically glide into position once cooking begins. The idea is to automatically control ventilation with electronic controls concealed within the stylish stainless hood. Sirius designed the SU48 range hood with the sensor which detects a change of temperature over the cooktop. Should the heat increase by 2 degrees within 2 minutes, the filter slides down and out of the stainless canopy, activating the fan exhaust to the lowest speed to remove airborne cooking fumes and odors. The SU48 can even automatically change the blower speed with every 2 degree temperature change, either higher or lower. You can override the sensor with manual controls.
